Lying near the eastern edge of the City of London, Liverpool Street (the road) is just 250 meters long. However, despite its size, the road is significant because in 1874 it gave its name to the London Liverpool Street station. The station is the UK's third busiest and is a massive transport interchange where Underground, Overground, mainline trains, and the bus network interconnect. This makes it a perfect place to stay if you want to explore London.

As well as being one of the four train stations on a British Monopoly board, it is home to a number of good retail outlets and the surrounding Liverpool Street area is packed with bars, restaurants and shops. The area is full of great places to visit, including Spitalfields Market, Brick Lane, London Sky Garden, and 30 St Mary Axe, aka The Gherkin.
